It all begins with a walk outdoors and a pretty rock that ends up in a pocket. For many of us, this has become a cherished memory and one that has led to a life long love for nature, rocks, and of course..crystals! I have found sticks, pine cones, feathers, and stones from my own children’s backpacks and pockets over the years. It’s amazing how kids are drawn to the healing treasures that the Mother Earth has to offer us and seem to have an innate understanding of why they are so special. The sparkle in their eye as they gaze upon a new shiny stone with wonder is truly a magical sight and one that I have had the joy of seeing many times over the years.
Children naturally have a very high vibration which allows for resonance with crystals to happen quickly compared to adults. They are also more open and receptive to energy making them highly intuitive and connected to the stones. I feel children have a lot to teach us when it comes to crystals, but they should feel encouraged while also being guided to use crystals safely. For example - if your child is young and tends to put small items in their mouth, staying away from small tumbled stones or toxic stones especially while unsupervised is best. As wise beings it's important that children do feel encouraged to work with the stones that they are naturally drawn towards and trust that they know exactly what they need. Receiving crystals as a gift is also very exciting for children!

Amethyst - Protective and healing on many levels. Kids are often very drawn to the fun purple color and can use this stone for it’s many positive properties.
Celestite - This beautiful blue gem vibrates at the frequency of the angelic realm, great for a child’s bedroom to promote feelings of comfort and safety during sleep.
Angelite - A blue stone that also promotes connection with angels and our spirit guides. They are always with us, but these stones are very soothing and make kids feel even more connected.
Selenite - Selenite is a great stone for any crystal collector. Not only does it have a high frequency that brings in divine light, it can also be used to cleanse and charge other crystals!
Fluorite - Fluorite comes in a range of gorgeous colors and is very useful for children who may need more energetic protection within their auric field while also helping the mind stay focused for learning new things.
Clear Quartz - Clear Quartz is a very powerful stone (did you know the Earth’s crust is made up of 85% quartz?!) This crystal can be used to amplify the properties of all other stones as well as promote healing and clarity.
Labradorite - Known as the stone of transformation and magic and oh so flashy! Labradortie is a very supportive stone for kids going through growth spurts and is also a protective stone that can make one feel powerful.
Fairy Stone - Fairy stones offer connection + protection from the fairies. The name alone is enough to excite children as they are naturally drawn to the mystery and magic of the fairy realm.
Moss Agate - Bringing in the energies of the nature’s playground, this beauty offers gentle grounding + protection from the forest. Children like to spend hours looking at this stone as it has a whole beautiful inner world, just as they do!
